Dr. Mahipat Soni is a Rajasthan-based Cardiologist practising at the Aastha Kidney and General Hospital, which is located in the town of Sri Ganganagar. Besides his MBBS degree, he also has an MD in Internal Medicine and a DM in Cardiology to his credit. His main areas of interest are Interventional Cardiology, and Critical Care & Emergency Management.

Over the years, Dr. Soni has gained vast procedural experience in coronary angiography and angioplasty, cardiac catheterisation in congenital heart diseases, interventions in valvular heart diseases and permanent pacemaker implantation (single and dual chamber, cardiac resynchronisation therapy, implantable cardioverter defibrillation, etc).

Dr. Soni is adept at coronary angiography and angioplasty via the femoral as well as radial route. He is an expert at primary angioplasty in myocardial infarction (PAMI) and rescue angioplasties, and fully adept at thrombus extraction devices and pharmacotherapy during angioplasty. He has adequate experience in assisting chronic total occlusions, left main and bifurcation stenting.

Dr. Soni has independently performed over 100 cath procedures for congenital heart diseases, with experience in MAPCAs coil ligation, balloon occlusion and oximetry. He has assisted balloon mitral, pulmonary and aortic valvotomies, including BMVs in pregnant females and emergency BMV in patients with pulmonary edema.

Dr. Mahipat Soni has co-authored numerous research papers, many of which have been published in peer-reviewed journals. He was also the winner of many awards while completing his MBBS and also for quizzes at the state and college levels.
